THE CASE STUDY

Creating a familiar, approachable way for employees to find useful information and support.

  1. Employee need Find a useful answer or next step.
  2. Editorial structure Keep the message short and familiar.
  3. Reusable asset Support the next issue and the next update.

The challenge

A distributed workforce needed clear information about wellness, time away, and career development. These are recurring communications needs, with content that can easily become fragmented across channels. The work needed an approachable voice and a structure that HR could continue to use.

My role and remit

I partnered with HR on intranet content, time-away information, and career-framework materials. I developed and revised wellness newsletter content and creative assets, connecting employee needs with a repeatable publishing format. The work brought together writing, content organization, design direction, and stakeholder coordination.

Create a recognizable structure

The newsletter uses a clear masthead, a seasonal lead, short sections, and an obvious path toward relevant support. Repeated structural elements help establish familiarity, while seasonal imagery gives each issue a fresh point of entry. The tone stays practical and welcoming.

Connect the channel to the task

Email introduces the information; the intranet gives it a place to live. Supporting content about time away and careers needs to be easy to locate and understandable in context. I treated these as related communications needs, with HR partnership central to the content and review process.

What I delivered

The work includes employee newsletter materials, a monthly template, seasonal header concepts, and supporting intranet and career-development content. The September 2026 Wellness Wire cover and email excerpt displayed here are refreshed portfolio concepts that demonstrate the visual system and writing approach.

Evidence of value

This case demonstrates recurring content production, information design, HR collaboration, and sensitivity to the employee reader. The assets show how a consistent framework can support new issues and changing content. The available evidence is the work itself and the documented remit; employee readership, benefit utilization, and retention results are not asserted.

The cover and email excerpt are refreshed portfolio concepts based on my employee-communications work. The seasonal illustration is AI-assisted. Broader change-communications experience includes the ARINC, Rockwell Collins, and Collins Aerospace transitions.
