SPECTRA: making complex technology understandable

A cybersecurity marketing case study in audience framing, motion presentations, and collaboration with technical reviewers.

Case study

My role
Marketing Project Manager. Messaging, presentation development, motion production, and coordination of technical review.
Audience and purpose
Security leaders and business-development audiences evaluating a complex cybersecurity offering.
Deliverable
A 17-slide motion overview containing 10 embedded video clips, on-screen captions, and a closing business-development action.
Evidence
Production scope comes from the source presentation. Product savings and demonstration data are not marketing-performance results.

01 / THE COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE

A useful story before a feature list

A security operations center brings together people and tools to monitor and respond to threats. The presentation needed to make an AI-powered solution understandable to buyers while giving business development a consistent story to use.

I organized the explanation around the analyst’s work: competing alerts, context gathering, prioritization, and decisions about response. This gave the technical detail a sequence the audience could follow.

02 / EDITORIAL & CREATIVE DECISIONS

Each scene has a specific job

  1. Open with a recognizable problem

The four-console explanation makes fragmented context concrete before introducing the solution.

  2. Give each demonstration a focal point

Short headlines explain why a screen matters. Callouts direct attention to the relevant detail, rather than asking the audience to interpret a full dashboard.

  3. Explain the boundaries of automation

The narrative distinguishes advisory, supervised, and enforced actions. The differences matter more than a broad promise about AI.

  4. Design for the next conversation

The original presentation closes with a business-development contact action. The sequence connects the buyer’s question to an appropriate next step.

03 / MY CONTRIBUTION

Creative work with technical review

I developed the motion overview and film cuts, explanatory callouts, and presentation sequence. I proposed consistent product language and claims for technical review, and drafted requests for partner demo assets and permission to use them.

My responsibility was the marketing story and its production. Technical reviewers supplied and validated product information; the partner supplied platform demonstrations.

04 / WHAT THE EVIDENCE SUPPORTS

A completed communications asset

The source file contains 17 slides with motion instructions and 10 embedded video clips. Captions, a connected demonstration sequence, and an explicit closing action are part of the delivered presentation.

These measures describe production scope. The case demonstrates technical storytelling, creative execution, and review coordination. Illustrative alert timings, demo figures, and product savings are excluded from the results attributed to my work.
